Something Tastes Metallic

Price

£800.00

THIS IS THE ORIGINAL ARTWORK. A reflection on the changing nature of human expression, Something Tastes Metallic explores the delicate boundary between desire and artificiality. Once soft, intimate and full of emotion, the lips have been transformed into cold, reflective chrome. They remain inviting, yet something feels unsettlingly unfamiliar.

The mouth, our most instinctive tool for communication, connection and affection, has become something manufactured. Its polished surface promises perfection, but beneath the shine lies a question of authenticity. In a world where beauty is increasingly engineered and individuality refined away, are we losing the very qualities that make us human?

Perhaps the most unsettling thing about artificial perfection is how easily we learn to desire it.
